The Restaurant at The Getty Center

If you would like to gaze upon the Santa Monica Mountains while having a splendid meal then you should go to The Restaurant at the Getty Center located at 1200 Getty Center Drive in Brentwood. They offer you a wonderful view of the surrounding area in this lovely restaurant. You can make plans to visit the center along with a great meal or just a great meal with a great view; the choice is yours!
The Setting
You can see the Getty Center from miles around as it sits perched on top of the Santa Monica Mountains. The architecture of the center, Richard Meier has done a magnificent job on both the outside and inside of this complex. The white on white design he is known for along with the floor to ceiling windows create just the right atmosphere in The Restaurant at the Getty.
Spectacular is one word often used to describe the sights seen from this casual, yet elegant dinning room located at the Getty Center. This is one of the best views of the Los Angeles area and with its location in the Getty Center the walls are full of wonderful art, which most of it is food related.
The servers are very helpful and friendly. This is a favorite of both locals and tourist with its ever-changing menu. The ambiance is superb and the scenery is breathtaking. They have a full bar, private rooms for special events, large wine list, and outdoor dining available.
The Food
Their menu is constantly being revised to keep up with the latest and greatest choices available to them. They only use the freshest ingredients with several of the local and regional growers being used for suppliers. The offer Mediterranean, Californian cuisine with numerous seasonal choices. All of the dishes are presented perfectly.
The meals start with homemade breads served in a variety of ways, which are still warm from the oven. You have many choices from soups, salads, sandwiches; entrees of fish, chicken, beef, pork, and more. They offer countless choices of desserts also. There is always something new to try out here.
Restaurant Information
They are open for lunch Tuesday through Saturday from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM and on Sunday’s from 11 AM to 3 PM. They serve dinner on Friday and Saturday from 5 PM to 9 PM. Reservations are recommended and can be made at 310-440-6810.
There is plenty to do at the Getty Center and The Restaurant should be part of the plan!
